National Security: CDS reaffirms AFN's commitment to youth development through sports

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede, GCOR, has reaffirmed the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s (AFN) commitment in promoting youth development, national unity and peace through sports as a strategic non-kinetic approach to enhancing national security. In a statement signed and issued in Abuja by the Director, Defence Information, Major General Samaila Uba said the Chief of Defence Staff stated this on Sunday 26 July 2026, at the closing ceremony of the maiden CDS Under-19 Open B
