Taraba Police Arrest Two Women for Child Trafficking, Rescue Three Children
The Taraba State Police Command has arrested two women of Igbo extraction for allegedly attempting to traffic three children, all about four years old, from the NTA Area in Jalingo to Yola in Adamawa State.
The suspects, identified as Ada Eze and Ujunyi F., were said to have deceived the children’s parents by claiming they were taking the children to the market before transporting them out of Taraba State.

Month of August: Troops Neutralises Over 325 Terrorists, Arrests 373 Criminal Suspects, Rescues 610 Kidnapped Victims with Items Recovered
The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has confirmed that in the month of August 2026, over 324 terrorists and criminals were neutralized by its troops, with 373 terrorist/criminals arrested and 610 kidnap victims rescued.
The Defence Headquarters also confirmed that 201 insurgents surrendered to troops, while 88 arms and 2077 rounds of ammunition were recovered.
