Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza Federal Constituency today staged a massive solidarity walk through Birnin Kebbi, reaffirming their unwavering support for the party and its candidates ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The enthusiastic supporters, who marched through major parts of the metropolis, proceeded to the Kebbi State Government House, where they were received by the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, alongside other senior government officials and APC stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, the APC flag bearer for the Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza Federal Constituency, Hon. Bello Yakubu Relisco, said the solidarity walk was organized to reaffirm the people’s confidence in the APC and express their appreciation to Governor Nasir Idris for what he described as the administration’s unprecedented commitment to infrastructure development across the constituency.
Hon. Relisco commended the governor for the execution of people-oriented projects in communities across the Federal Constituency, noting that the impact of the administration’s development initiatives was visible and had significantly strengthened the party’s grassroots support.
He assured the governor that the supporters would sustain their grassroots mobilization and continue to canvass for votes for all APC candidates, with a view to securing victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
Responding, Governor Nasir Idris expressed his appreciation for the impressive turnout, describing the solidarity walk as a powerful demonstration of the people’s confidence in his administration and the APC.
The governor assured the supporters that his administration would continue to prioritize people-oriented projects and programmes across Kebbi State, stressing that his government remained committed to improving the lives of the people through sustainable development.
He further declared that no amount of distraction would derail his administration’s commitment to its people-centred development agenda.
Governor Idris thanked the supporters for their loyalty and steadfast support for all APC candidates, from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to candidates contesting state constituency seats.
He urged them to remain united, peaceful and committed to the ideals of the party as the election approaches.
The delegation was received at the Government House by a high-powered government entourage comprising the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Salisu Maikasuwa; Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida; Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmad Birnin Kebbi; Member representing Kalgo Constituency, Hon. Rilwanu Magarza; former House of Representatives member, Hon. Bashar Mutawalle; AG Bello Ibrahim Nahaliku; Samaila Labbo Mabo, among other government officials, political leaders and APC stakeholders.
The solidarity walk underscored the growing grassroots mobilization and support for the APC across the Birnin Kebbi, Kalgo and Bunza Federal Constituency, as the party continues to strengthen its campaign and engagement with voters ahead of the forthcoming elections.
