The Chairman of APC One Family, Sokoto State Chapter, Hon. Garzali Aliyu Raka, has stressed the need for electoral stakeholders in the core northern states to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term to complete the infrastructural development projects initiated in the region and Nigeria as a whole.
Hon. Raka further stated that President Tinubu approved the recruitment of 200 youths in each Local Government Area through the Office of the National Security Adviser to complement security personnel in tackling insecurity.
He maintained that the recruited youths have already been trained and security facilities provided to support their operations.
Raka, who also holds the traditional title of Sarkin Yakin Gobirawan Tangaza and serves as Special Security Adviser to the Sole Administrator of Tangaza Local Government, Alhaji Usman Kotti, assured that the measure has started yielding positive results, especially in the worst-hit areas in the northern part of the country.
The Chairman described President Tinubu as a messiah of Nigeria's democracy, noting that the history of democracy in Nigeria would be incomplete without mentioning President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
"Tinubu has always been at the forefront. He fought for the sustenance of democracy in Nigeria from 1999 to 2015," he said.
He emphasized that in the effort to entrench democratic dispensation during that period, Tinubu established the Alliance for Democracy (AD), which later transformed to Action Congress (AC), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and later the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to him, Tinubu made several sacrifices, encountered hardship and challenges in the process of supporting the democratic dispensation which Nigerians are enjoying today.
He maintained that due to his vast experience in the economic sector, Tinubu, during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State, made formidable efforts in generating huge revenue, making Lagos stand out among contemporary states in Africa.
"Tinubu deserves to be voted for a second term in the 2027 general elections," he said.
He commended Tinubu's foresight in carefully selecting the 2027 Presidential Campaign Council with people of proven integrity, saying the composition includes former APC National Chairman and former Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, serving Senator and former Sokoto State Governor, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, former Zamfara State Governor, Sen. Abdul'Aziz Yari, and former Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, among others.
Raka emphasized that it is mandatory for every card-carrying member of the APC nationwide to turn out en masse and vote for President Tinubu for a second term, as such will enable the party's governors to also emerge victorious in the forthcoming general elections.
According to him, failure of APC members to elect President Tinubu may lead to the failure of the party's governors at the polls, adding that electing Tinubu is key to the progress and development of the country.
