Ahead of 2027 general elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamawa state chapter, a gender House of Representatives candidate for Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency in Adamawaa state, Hon. Golfa Chaugwarau has enjoyed her media team to intensify coverage of the party’s activities and promote its programmes and political engagements.
Chaugwarau made the charge while talking to members of her media team, the importance of strategic reportage in communicating the party’s activities and keeping voters informed about its programmes and political direction.
The gender equality called on the team to give adequate attention to APC activities and the importance of 2027 elections is all about, by encouraging voters to support the party’s candidates across all elective positions, from the presidency and governorship to legislative seats, (from top to bottom, and bottom to top).
Hon. Chaugwarau who is works alongside the APC leaders, stakeholders and supporters of both Guyuk and Shelleng aimed at securing their respective polling units, wards and local government areas for the party in the 2027 general elections.
Political participation of the two local government areas would determine their level of representation and influence in the next government, she said.
Chaugwarau noted that, “Guyuk and Shelleng must be part of the people who will form the government in 2027. We must understand that our votes are our voices count. Through active participation in the electoral process, we can demonstrate our political relevance and ensure that our communities have a place in government".
Saying, politics is all about electing representatives from the constituency and supporting the APC governorship candidate in Adamawa state that will provide anenabling environment and opportunity for Guyuk and Shelleng to strengthen their participation in governance.
She accordingly emphasized that, effective political representation could create opportunities for the area to attract government attention, infrastructure, development projects and other benefits of democratic governance.
On to voters, Chaugwarau urged them to identify the importance of participating in the electoral process, stating that the political strength of any constituency depends largely on its commitment to democracy. Also called on party leaders and supporters to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, maintain unity and work collectively towards the party’s objectives ahead of the 2027 elections.
She stressed the importance of coordinated communication between the media team and party stakeholders in projecting the APC’s activities across Guyuk, Shelleng and other parts of Adamawa State.
