Our attention has been drawn to your so-called "Open Appeal" to the 21 Distinguished Professors appointed by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Comrade Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu.
We read your letter with disappointment but not surprise. This is the usual style of the ADC and your principal - to manufacture lies, create confusion, and distract the good people of Kebbi State from the massive transformation going on under the Kauran Gwandu administration.
Let us set the record straight for the public:
1. GOVERNOR NASIR IDRIS HAS PERFORMED BEYOND EXPECTATION IN EDUCATION:
It was this same Governor you are trying to blackmail that declared a State of Emergency on Education, renovated over 2,000 primary schools, recruited over 2,000 teachers, increased scholarship for Kebbi students, and restored dignity to the teaching profession. For the first time in history, Kebbi State appointed 21 Professors to head LGEAs to bring intellectual leadership to basic education. That alone is a masterstroke that no government in the North has done. Whether a vehicle was delivered yesterday, today or tomorrow, the commitment is public and verifiable, unlike your party that only exists on Facebook.
2. WHY ARE YOU OBSESSED WITH VEHICLES AND NOT THEIR PERFORMANCE?
If you genuinely care about education, why didn't you ask the Professors about enrollment, out-of-school children reduction, or teacher performance? Why is your only concern about vehicles? It shows you have nothing to offer. This is cheap opposition politics - bringing up issues that do not concern you just to stay relevant.
3. YOUR PRINCIPAL IS NOT FIT TO BE GOVERNOR OF KEBBI STATE:
You talk about public trust, but let us talk about your principal, Abubakar Malami, SAN. The people of Kebbi State still remember his 8 years as Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation under President Muhammadu Buhari. A man who was given the highest trust in the country to defend the law and fight for the masses FAILED WOEFULLY.
Where was he when Kebbi youth were jobless? Where were the empowerment, the federal appointments, the industries for Kebbi people? He used that great opportunity for himself and his cronies while the masses of Kebbi suffered. A man who could not help his own people when he was the No. 1 Law Officer of Nigeria, how can he be trusted to govern Kebbi State? Kebbi people have not forgotten how he disappointed President Buhari and disappointed the masses who believed in him.
Kebbi does not need a Governor who will use Government House to accumulate wealth and prosecute political enemies. We need a tested, compassionate leader like Kauran Gwandu who is already building roads, state secretariat, schools, and paying workers promptly.
Therefore, we advise Bello Abdullahi and his ADC Campaign Council to stop this shameful letter-writing to our respected Professors. Leave our Professors alone. They are not politicians. They are busy reforming our education.
If ADC has any serious agenda for Kebbi, let them present it to the people instead of hiding behind Professors and vehicles.
Kebbi has moved forward. No amount of blackmail will bring us back.
