A high-powered delegation from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), led by its National President and Chairman of Council, Chief (Hajia) Zuwairat Talatu Kishimi, has paid a condolence visit to the Yobe State Government over the passing of Dr. Bukar Aji Bukar, the late Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
In a press statement signed by Ibrahim Baba Saleh the Media coordinator liaison office of the SSG said, the delegation conveyed its condolences in a letter presented to the Yobe State Government through the Acting Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mohammed Goje, shortly after the funeral prayer of the deceased.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Vice-Chancellor of ANAN University, Prof Musa Inuwa Fodio, described the late Dr. Bukar Aji Bukar as a dedicated, disciplined, experienced, and highly respected professional who rose to the apex body of a council member of ANAN.
He said Dr. Bukar's commitment to excellence, integrity, and service to humanity earned him the admiration of colleagues and associates across the country, noting that his demise was a great loss not only to Yobe State but also to the accounting profession.
On behalf of the Yobe State Government, the Acting Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mohammed Goje expressed appreciation to the ANAN leadership for identifying with the government and people of the state during the period of mourning.
Dr. Goje described the late Permanent Secretary as an exceptional public servant whose dedication, humility, and professionalism greatly contributed to the development of Yobe State.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, the government, and the people of Yobe State the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
