As we celebrate Nigeria at 65, I, Comrade Zaki Sarki Sk Altine, on behalf of all Primary School Teachers in Kebbi State, heartily congratulate and commend:

1. His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR- for his Renewed Hope Agenda, student loan scheme (NELFUND), commitment to Safe Schools, and increase in education funding. You have shown that education is the bedrock of national development.

*2. His Excellency, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, Executive Governor of Kebbi State* - Our own teacher-friendly Governor. Thank you for:

 - N75,000 Minimum Wage (from N30,000) - Full Consequential Adjustment

 - Restoration of Headmaster & Assistant Headmaster Allowances

 - Recruitment of over 4,000 teachers

 - Construction and renovation of over 200 schools

 - Prompt payment of salaries and leave grants

 You have made Kebbi teachers proud and given us hope.

Enugu agog as Teacher-Governor storms NUT's 59th national delegates conference

In Enugu state, history was made in the ancient Coal City as the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) opened its historic 59th National Delegates Conference, 8th Quadrennial National Conference, with delegates from the 36 states and the FCT. The centre of attraction at the conference was the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, His Excellency, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, who stormed Enugu in a grand style.
