The Bayelsa State Athletics Association will on Monday, 31st August, 2026 hold a state trial to select track and field athletes that will represent the state at the forthcoming maiden National Intermediate Games in Lagos.
Interested athletes in 100metres, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1,500m and other events like Javelin, Shot Put, Long Jump and High Jump who are below 19 years are invited to the Samson Siasia sports complex, Ovom to participate.
The Intermediate Games is for athletes born between 1st January 2008 and 30th September 2011.
The trials will commence by 8am.
Games masters in Secondary Schools are encouraged to bring their athletes for the trials.
