The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammad Matawalle, MON, has donated one car and ten motorcycles to one of his support groups led by Alhaji Salisu Dawa in Zamfara state.
The Minister, who was represented at the presentation ceremony by the Chairman of his political movement in Zamfara State, Builder Ibrahim Isa Mayana, said the gesture is part of his continuous empowerment programme for his teeming supporters in the state.
According to him, this is not the first time he is supporting his followers and it will not be the last. He explained that the donation is aimed at easing the transportation challenges of the beneficiaries in appreciation of their constant support and loyalty to his political movement and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State.
In a statement by Comrade Yusuf Idris Gusau, Publicity Secretary, MPSC, Matawalle expressed confidence that the beneficiaries will put the vehicles to judicious use for the benefit of themselves, their families, and the party, adding that it will facilitate effective coverage and coordination of party activities across the state.
He commended members of the group for their resilience and commitment to campaigning for the APC in all parts of the state and beyond.
In his response, the leader of the group, Alhaji Salisu Dawa, expressed profound gratitude to the Minister for the donation. He noted that in the past, members relied on alternative means to reach various communities, but with the support, they can now effectively cover the entire state.
The event was attended by key members of the Matawalle Political Standing Committee and other stakeholders.
